Galo Canizares
Artist, designer, writer and teacher, Galo Canizares is a multidisciplinary academic. Under his screen name, Itsgalo, this young American never ceases to dazzle us with his creativity. It was in the 2000s that he discovered generative art. His research focuses on the symbiotic relationship between humans and software. His work is always about time, movement and pixels. Itsgalo interrogates matter through the matrix image. Point after point, he questions their positioning within our everyday space.

In 2022, Itsgalo invites us to discover his new generative art program: Raster. This 400-piece, interactive program once again deals with our daily social interaction with pixels, their materiality in relation to the traditional brushstroke, and their structuring within digital and real space. Inspired by the work of Mark Roktho and Clytton Still, Raster builds up before our astonished eyes to a perfect chromatic harmony.
